Posts

Posts are dated entries, like blog articles, news, or announcements. They usually show up on your blog or news page, newest first.

Write a new post

1. Posts → Add New.
2. Add a title and your content (the editor works the same as for Pages).
3. In the right-hand sidebar:
   • Choose one or more Categories.
   • Add Tags if your site uses them.
   • Set a Featured Image. This is the thumbnail shown on your blog page and when the post is shared on social media.
4. Click Publish.

Schedule a post for later

In the sidebar, click the date next to Publish (it says “Immediately”), choose a future date and time → Schedule. WordPress publishes it automatically.

Categories vs. tags

• Categories are the broad sections of your blog (e.g. News, Events). Every post needs at least one.
• Tags are optional keywords for more specific topics.

Manage them under Posts → Categories and Posts → Tags.

Edit or remove a post

Posts → All Posts → hover over the title → Edit or Trash.

Tip

Use the Quick Edit link under a post title to change its title, date, status, or categories without opening the full editor.
