QBIQ Flash Card Game

The Flash Card Game trains the pre-snap read: memorize which routes work against every defense, and answer fast. Open it from Play → Flash Card Game in the QBIQ Training app, or go straight to /flash-cards.

A card (or cards) is dealt alongside a defense card. You answer “does this work?” against the shown coverage, as quickly and accurately as you can. You get feedback on every card, then the next one comes up. Cards are drawn at random.

Level What’s shown You answer
1 Single route vs defense Yes / No / Quick
2 Single route vs defense + situation Yes / No / Quick / Audible
3 Full play (3 routes) vs defense Which route(s) work (+ Quick)
4 Full play vs defense + situation Which route(s) work / Audible
Answer Meaning
Yes The route beats this coverage.
No It’s covered.
Quick It works, but it’s Cover 0 or Cover 1. Always answer Quick against Cover 0/1: it’s a closed coverage and the QB is getting rushed.
Audible (Levels 2 and 4) The route works against the coverage, but it’s the wrong call for the situation.

Situation cards show down and distance and yard line:

  • Ahead of the sticks (e.g. 1st-&-5, 2nd-&-1): green light. Be aggressive, and most working routes are fine.
  • Behind the sticks: be smart and play to pick up the first down.
  • The baseline goal is to pick up about half the distance (4–6 yards). If a route’s depth can’t reach the goal, Audible.
  • Situation cards are color-coded: blue = conservative, red = aggressive.
